Special Olympics New Jersey-Burlington County

offers year round sports training and competition in a variety of olympic type sports. Volunteers are needed for sports year 2009-2010 as coaches, area committee members, volunteer coordinator, fund raising committee, two Local Training Programs Coordinators, and volunteers to run three Area events during the year. The three events are: a bowling tournament in January, a swim meet in March, and track meet in April. Please call Sandy at 856-985-1722 for additional information. Coaches work directly with the athletes in a given sport. Area Committee members- work with organizing area events, athletic and fundraising. They attend a meeting once a month. Volunteer coordinator-is responsible for recruiting new volunteers for our three Area events.-part of Area Committee Fund-raising committee-members are responsible for all aspects of fund raising for the Area-part of Area Committee Local Training Program Coordinator-responsible for all aspects of a local training program.
