Sponsor: Mount Laurel Township’s Green Team

On Monday April 22nd, the Mount Laurel Township’s Green Team will be hosting their 2nd Green Expo. The event will be at the Mount Laurel Community Center from 2:30pm to 7:30 pm. This free event is open to the public to celebrate Earth Day and educate residents about the environment and “Green” living.

The Green Team was established in 2009 by the Mount Laurel Town Council to promote sustainable living and save money.
Various area businesses will demonstrate and show off their environmental offerings including alternative solar. The NASA RV and BCC will be here for your hands-on learning. In addition, many government entities and the MUA will provide information about their green programs. Students from Harrington Middle School will show off their environmental project.
The Expo is sponsored by the Mount Laurel Township’s Green Team to promote sustainable practices. The Green Team is part of Sustainable New Jersey’s program for state municipalities. This event is part of the Township’s efforts (which began in 2009) towards Sustainable New Jersey certification.

One goal of the Expo is to encourage public involvement in making the community greener and more sustainable. Interested residents can sign up to get involved in the Township’s Green Team and help shape Mount Laurel’s future and sustainability efforts.
