About Us

Volunteer Center of Burlington County:

  • is a private, nonprofit volunteer organization that provides and promotes volunteer opportunities, programs and services to meet community needs.
  • is dedicated to helping individuals and groups find volunteer work that is most suitable to their interests, skills, abilities, location, schedule and age.
  • offers volunteer recruitment; volunteer referral; youth volunteer programs support; workplace volunteer programs support; and general support and guidance.
  • coordinates services with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Burlington County; Directors of Volunteers in Association (DOVIA); Points of Light Foundation; Volunteer Center National Network; and 1-800-Volunteer.org
  • annually presents the Lloyd Ritter Community Service Award in recognition of outstanding community service on behalf of the residents of Burlington County.
  • publishes two directories Volunteer Opportunities Directory and Youth Volunteer Opportunities Directory Burlington County residents; and provides Burlington County volunteer opportunities listing for the Burlington County Times and Courier Post newspapers.

  1. I have just been given 60hrs of court ordered community service. I would like to work at Paws Farm, a local animal shelter, nursing home such as WIley or phone/filing work at a library. I do work currently so I’m looking at being able to do 2-3 hours in the day time per weekday. Could you see if anything fits that possibility. Thank you.
